ABOUT
Hi, I’m Helen — founder of Roots & Reeds Yoga and Wellness.
I created this space to help people pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves through movement, rest, and mindfulness.
I first discovered yoga at 16, searching for a form of exercise that I genuinely enjoyed. Over the years, I always found myself returning to yoga — not just for the physical benefits, but for the way it supported my mind and helped me feel more grounded.
As my practice deepened, I realised there was so much more to yoga than what could be explored in a single class. In 2020, I began my teacher training, originally with the intention of learning more for myself rather than becoming a teacher. But the more I learned, the more passionate I became. After several more years dedicated to my own practice, I began teaching and sharing these practices with others.
I now specialise in yin yoga, restorative yoga, meditation, breathwork, and other calming practices that help people slow down and rest. So many of us move through life constantly switched on, without giving ourselves permission to pause. My aim is to create supportive spaces where people can recharge, reconnect, and leave feeling calmer, clearer, and more balanced.
I’m always continuing my own learning and have completed training in yoga nidra, yin yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound healing, Reiki, anatomy, myofascial release, and yoga philosophy.
