If you’re new to yoga, walking into your first class can feel a little intimidating. The good news? My beginner's yoga class in Burton is welcoming, supportive, and open to every body.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT A BEGINNERS YOGA CLASS?

  • A warm welcome – you don’t need to be flexible or experienced.

  • Basic postures – taught step by step, with plenty of options.

  • Focus on breath – learning how breath supports movement.

  • Relaxation at the end – you’ll leave feeling calmer than when you arrived.

  • Helpful demos - I demo lots of poses so, whether you're an auditory or visual learner, there's lots of support for you.

TIPS BEFORE YOUR FIRST CLASS

  • Wear comfortable clothing you can move in.

  • Bring a mat if you have one (spares are often available).

  • Arrive 5–10 minutes early.

  • Most importantly: bring curiosity, not perfection!

  • Don't worry if you feel like you're looking at everyone around you for your first few classes.
